Course Description
Herbology is the study of Magical and Mundane plants and fungi. In Herbology you will learn to care and utilize plants, and learn about their magical properties, and what they are used for. Many plants provide ingredients for potions and medicine, which is why it is very related to Potions, while others have magical effects of their own right.
Herbology is a mandatory class at Hogwarts, and all students must take this course and participate in Herbology OWLS, then they will be allowed to drop the class, or continue it until NEWTS.
These classes are held in the grounds of Hogwarts, in the greenhouses by Pomona Sprout, the Herbology Professor and Head of Hufflepuff.
Students do not do much in Herbology their first year, where they are mostly lectured on plants and their uses, but in their second year they move to Greenhouse three, where there are much more dangerous plants. Students must repot Mandrakes, and prune Abyssinian Shrivelfigs as part of their practical courses in their second year.

- One thing I do not like is due dates. You will find a specific date that an assignment must be done in my class. If you do not have them done by then, then you missed it. I'm sorry.
- I love to give out points. And my Extra Credits are easy, so be on the look out for them!
- Lastly, talk to me. I want to know what you think. So, if you have questions or concerns, please just ask.
